Reporting a bug
A timing bug is worth reporting properly, because a clock that is off by a few seconds is the one thing this app can't afford. Include:
- your device and iOS version (Settings → General → About);
- which paper you were timing, in Test or Practice mode, and what you did, including whether you locked the phone or went back to an earlier question;
- what you expected the clock to say, and what it said instead.
If the timings look wrong, export the session as CSV and attach it. That file is the actual evidence, and it contains only your own timings.
FAQ
- Are past papers included?
- No. You sit the paper from your own copy. onKlockIO times it question by question.
- Which exams does it cover?
- ESAT and TMUA as goals. ENGAA, NSAA and CAIE papers can be timed as practice, and are graded at your goal exam's pace.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is nothing to sign up for, and nothing leaves your device.
- What is the difference between Test and Practice?
- Test is strict: the clock stops at time up and can't be paused. Practice lets you pause, and the clock runs past zero so you can finish the paper.
- How does extra time work?
- Choose 25%, 50% or a custom amount when you set up a paper. The paper's length and the target pace both stretch by that amount.
- A question's time looks too long.
- Check whether you went back to it. Every visit to a question is added to that question's total, on purpose: the second visit cost you time too.
- Is there an Android version?
- Not yet. Join the waitlist and you'll get one email when there is.
- How do I get my data out?
- Open the paper from your history and choose Export question timings (CSV). You get one row per question, with its lap time, target and pacing status.
- How do I delete my data?
- Settings → Delete all data removes every session, timing and tag at once. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
